WHAT'S NEXT??

Levelling up.
From 15 on you can use ultra-rare gear.  The stuff is expensive but its worth it because every item is -3ep and has decent +stats, but dont throw a load of money on it unless you know what you're buying it for - A decent UR setup should last ages if you buy wisely, or manage to drop a decent weapon - more likely an armour or store.  Have a look through the things to do section below and see where your equipments can suit a number of combinations.

U should already have a rare 3 store? work out if its cheaper to sell it and get a ur 3 or just aug it, probably the latter. 50 storage 0 ep. Great!  This thing will Last for ages and resale values hold up.

Getting to level 20 means u get 60bd and the corp gets 20 - its a decent payback for everyone at last, and u get 3-times your level every five level anniversary from here. Dont get obsessed with legendary gear just yet tho.

Multiboxing
*** alt accounts made after 17th July 2013 will NOT level or gain resources in grey ***

Bluestacks
http://www.bluestacks.com/

Simply download the aplication, install it on your PC, and when install is finished, run. Once Bluestacks has started, click on small magnifier button, search window will apear and write The Infinite Black. Install it and have fun!

Oracle VM VirtualBox
Click and download:
http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/4.2.16/VirtualBox-4.2.16-86992-Win.exe

Install VirtualBox and start it.
Then download AndroVM:
http://androvm.org/Download/androVM_vbox86tp_4.1.1_r6.1-20130222-gapps-houdini-flash.ova

When download is finished double click the file. File will automaticaly be imported in VM.

Once u see the file in VM click start. Once Android is up, go to store find The Infinite Black and download it. Start it, login with your ship and if all is ok turn off your android machine.

Once machine is reset, go to VM VirtualBox manager, right click on your androvm machine and click settings. In new window go to system put 512-1024 ram, in display put 32-64mb ram. Click ok, then right click again on androvm machine and click clone. Do this as many times as u want, but beware of system resources needed to lead ships normaly.

I'm running 2 ships on VM and one ship on Bluestacks. My system is quad core AMD with 8gb ram and radeon graphics. My processor runs at 90-100%, and my cooling vents could be used as a grill after few hours. Keep your machine safe, 100k per day more or less dont matter. And listen to Bad Company - Feels like making love =D

And dont forget about your cell phone. U started this game on it, and it can run one more ship ;) rather use it and leave some computer resources available than to burn your machine to dust, like im doing =) /Papa

Bigger ships
Everybody needs more ep, but seek advice whether to upgrade your equips or go straight to the mammoth ships

Stealth - if you bought an assassin, you will need to source a stealth drive once you upgrade your ship so bear this in mind

What's next for gameplay?
You need to keep farming - and we all have to make some cash to do the funner things in the game (that or buy BDs with real cash) and u need to lvl up to increase your stats. get a shield and gun that maxes your storage, evasion, repair or any other cash orientated setup you like. Faster guns are better for this.  You can spec this cheaply and save cash for a PVP setup. A slow hull may max armour but you may still want to be able to HD outta there, so try to stay at or under 9-10 secs.
Alternatively just wear cheap rare equips to farm and if u die, all you lost was your dignity ;) seriously tho...

The alliance cluster is located in the rift - unless you are hard as nails u will need to team up to play there - get more advice online YOU WILL NEED IT

Invasions
These are slow and tedious with a slight chance of a poor drop from a seed/hive.  Generally, I have earned better just teaming up and rifting... BUT its a great way to learn the command system etc for stack play without which your PVP will suck, so do some!

Black Invasion requirement is 3.5-4k hull. If you have been following this guide, you already have enough hull.

For easy and succesfull invasion your crew needs Technician, Hook, Alien Hunter. Tractor beams help too. Crew should be at least 8-10 ships unless some expirienced player with badass equipment leads the group. There are 3 types of invasions. Pirates (they drop most metals, and are easy to kill), Heteroclites (NPCs do alot of splash damage, grapple and drag our ships deeper inside, in my humble opinion hardest type at this moment) and Wyrd (somewhat between above two types). Inside invasions there are 3 types of NPCs. Elite NPC, Boss NPC and Stronghold - Seed World - Hive.

When you are inside invasion, please use sector chat instead of corporate - alliance chat. Watch out for orders from driver, transfer metals to Technician. If you stumble across Stronghold-Hive-Seed World driver will shout to Jettison your metals from storage. Click your ship, Jettison resources, check all metals, and drop them. While you are doing that, Hookers will try to drag NPCs away from the Boss.

Upon succesfull finishing of the invasion, Black Dollars will drop inside sectors invasion was previously in. NEVER pick them up unless you are asked to. One from crew goes out and picks all of them up, and after we are done with invasions, BDs are shared among all people inside invasion. Stay in group, if enemy is close, they will probable jump in as soon as they see that invasion is cleared from map, looking to steal invasions BDs or getting easy kills.
If that happens, continue feeding tech, he will keep most of you alive.

Rift invasions requirement is 7k hull. Same thing as black invasions, except here we go with 2 Techicians. NPCs hit alot harder, and BDs go for Alliance Hyperdrive, or Mind Surge.

Ships and specialities!

If you have followed our guide to this point, then you are already flaying in Flayer class ship. At this moment, Flayer class (Flayer and Assasin) and Despoiler class ships are used by 80% players on Blue server. What does it mean for you? That you might be able to find special gear for your ship class on Auction House. But sometimes you dont want to wait. So our beloved Game Master invented Reward Points (RPs). Same story as Black Dollars. You can get 10 RPs for every 1000 black dollars u purchase with real cash. You can buy RPs from other players, or you can deconstruct items on planet. Deconstructing is hard job, on what to deconstruct please ask in corporate chat. For your information, getting 50 reward points will take you 6-12 months.

Technician (18 reward points)

Best described as Medics. One metal as we all know gives you 150 repairs. Not if you are Tech. Leg gear techs can heal 350 and more with only 1 metal.
There are 2-3 kinds of techs. Fleet tech, Rescue tech, and Rift invasion Tech. Fleet tech and Rift invasion tech require big Cytoplast hull, 0ep gun (pref with +heal) , Drone tech computer, and big storage 80 storage is ok (Ultimate storage VI), but more the marrier. In big fights, mets drain quickly, and you will need every metal u can have in your storage. Rescue techs on other hand have 2.5s speed. Noone cares how u get it, with havok tech, speed drills, rift guns. All that matters is that if our brother/sister gets dragged away from stack, you jump after him/her, ungrapple him and safely return him/her into our stack back. Most rescue techs are in carriers, wearing big exoprene hulls for speed and further repair bonus.
There is a big con - tech special really reduces your damage dealt so you can't go out solo with one nor will you gain much xp from killing, but you get xp for un-grappling people

Hook (50 reward points)

Quick and simple. U need BIG Hit rate, fast gun like burst cannon, screamer or star shatter, and a 2.5s ship movement if goimng stealth hunting. You will go out with other stealths, and using guerilla tactics you will hope to grapple enemy, which will be dragged around and eventualy killed. For speed PVP stack, your crew needs Scout driver. He can see invisible units, and follow them if they try to get out. Since we lost most of the fleet to Grey server, requirements lowered down to 3s for speed fleet. Still cap will soon be back at 2.5s, so try working on it. Hooks are also very useful for dragging NPCs from Hives-Strongholds-Seeds. So everyone will want you inside their Invasions stacks. And while wearing a hook, u get big hook resistance too.
They're useful in big stack pvp as well, so all in all it's the best PVP special around.

Tractor Beam (50 reward points)

Before Hook was introduced, and Deflector changes were made, Beam was the best special in the game. Everyone wanted one. Now, unfortunately, beams were reduced to support farming gear, or a nice way to kill solo farmers. If they forget where CJ or EJ button is. What does Beam do then. It stuns npcs or players, so they cant move or shoot for number of seconds. This number depends on rarity of your Beam, type of gun used, and fire rate. For example if you stun someone with your 3s gun, he will be stunned for 7-8 seconds depending on your Beam rarity and other bonuses. If you stun someone with 20s gun, it will be 23s+. So he cant move, and if he doesnt make EJ or CJ, easy kill. Inside invasions beams stun NPCs. When facing Fred (Dread reaper, 6k+ critical hit) if u manage to stun him, you will be safe for some time till stun wares off. So its still pretty neat special. But not that usable in PVP because all stuns u make on enemy wearing deflector will be reflected back on you. So never shoot at Carrier if you are wearing a beam

Btw i truly hope Ozzy, our cash hungry GM will tweak beams again. I hope some time soon he will implement rule that if Beams rarity exceeds deflector rarity stunt wont be reflected back. These are only wishful thoughts of your good friend Papa.

Battle ram
(only available from BD purchase reward)
Rams do some damage when entering a sector with an anemy ship, and also have a chance of stunning them which can't be deflected

Scout
Specialist equipment that allows you to follow ships whose stealth capability is lower than the scout.  Assassins stealth is ultra-rare.  Can also see enemy ships a sector away (shown in red), but only the scout can see this so they generally have to be driver.  Although it also knocks a second off your jump time, it has no other perk if you aren't hunting.

Prosepctor/Mine
Really useful when out with a big drill in the rift as it multiplies the xp you get from roids.  also +chance of increased resource drops.  Although everyone denies it, Streethawk claims to get better item drops with his leg prosp on red...

Alien Hunter
(only available from BD purchase reward)
Similar to a prosepctor, but only for killing npcs - does extra damage and +resource drop chance.  No extra xp.

Nova
If you get killed it takes a lot of hp from every enemy ship in your sector (40-70% depending on rarity). Also increases damage inflicted with every shot and protects you from other's nova damage.  Can be used to devastating effect in gary defence, or with a second nova if carefully planned to make a super-nova wiping out a whole fleet at once (23 ships is the best i know of).

Tank
Drastically reduces all hit damange, but also reduces damage you can do.  Every gary bust needs a tank with a low hull as the whipping boy as the defence platforms target the lowest hull.  Can also be used in stack pvp if you get targetted often (e.g. if you are a massive troll!!)

So you want to kill other people?
I'll be honest, if you want to hang around and kill people on the edge of grey you will get killed as well and its about as satisfying as a football team mugging a grandmother.
Mainstream PVP (Garrison defence, basic garrison attack, Gary attack support team and fleet pvp) can all be done in heavy armour esp with a carrier lead, with a fat slow gun +hit and + crit or damage.  Pulv is cheap and fine but plenty of options.  Now that you need to re-target every time you move, an assortment of guns can be useful, but a BFG is best. Groups should always be tech supported, so make it your business to find out who it is and keep them fed with metals.  4500hp absoulte min. pref 5000+ and you won't get turned away. Hooks great. Tech v useful.
Friendly advice - if you are the smallest hull in pvp you will get targetted for sure.  Make it your business to look at the other ships going out and think about re-equipping if you have low HP.

High speed attack groups need a maximum of 3.0 sec move with HD.  If you can't do both this and sport a decent gun too, then you might go along for the ride and get in a fight, but you probably wont get any kills. Fun tho.  Hooks, techs and scouts are popular, beams can help.

Primary Garrison Attack groups need a xv+ gun, 5500hp+, 60 mets min and deflectors advised for anything that will be defended.  Hooks and beams useless. Two Techs often considered essential, someone always needs a tank and a much smaller hull to act as whipping boy. Smaller garys can be taken out by some big guns and smaller (X+) ones
Always go stocked up and FEED METS!

Rift
by the time you get to thinking about playing in the rift, i hope you will know enough people to get advice on this.  If not, ask a leader/super!
