For both new players and vets (and old people like myself) bonuses associated with different types of gear can be daunting.  The TIB developers have a complete file describing every item, and numerical bonus values.  The difficulty lies in that this file contains descriptions of every item according to its rarity, rank, and ship class.  This leaves the majority of the thousands of entries pointless and nearly impossible to sort.  This is just an attempt to create a broad sense of item classes and their associated advantages and disadvantages.

There is a download link at the bottom of the page containing an excel file of the following information. All of the items within this file are linked to the TIB equipment page where you can explore specific information regarding stats associated with rarity and rank of each item.  Gear well and gear smart flyers!
